I take 10 mg for 6 days & 7.5 for 1 day. Everbody is different, I used to take 5mg but I was taking Tylenol which makes my inr higher, when I stopped taking the Tylenol ( switched to Coumadin as Warfarin gave me headaches), my inr dropped, so I had to have Lovenox shots & increased doses of Coumadin to bring my inr up to a thereapeutic range, so dont worry about this amount of Warfarin, some people take even higher doses than your daughter. 15330

There are factors (not clotting factors, but blood composition factors) that can mean some people need a lot more warfarin than others to get to a theraputic range, and others need way less than "the norm," whatever that might be. I just saw my doc this week, and commented to him that while I expected periods to be a major issue, even on warfarin my periods weren't as long or bleed as much as when I was a teenager. 15331

I'm currently on 10/9/9. In settling in to this pattern I've been on doses as high as 12 and 13. And since I started warfarin, my periods are great! I bleed heavily for 18-24 hours, and I'm done. I've also been very late with one, and when it finally started it was the same as the others. 15337

I was on 10mg per day right up till the end of my treatment. Even at 10mg, my INR never got any higher than 2.1. I didn't have a period at all while I was on warfarin, but from what I've been reading on here, it seems to go either of two ways: more heavy than usual or virtually no bleeding. Guess I got lucky. 15340

I am 23 and I have been on 10 mg of Warfarin for 4 months. It has def made my periods heavier and longer. They used to last about 5 days and now its seven. My doctor said that this is completely normal, everyone reacts differently. 15346

I'm currently on 13 mg of warfarin daily. A rare blood disorder,so the docs tell me. I had a procedure called Novasure (endo ablation) due to 0 iron count and heavy peroids. That was the best procedure however I can't have any more children. 16593
