leg pain for a year now?

Ive had this leg pain for a year now ever since I found out i was pregnant. Ive been to the drs a million times, as I fear dvt is the culprit. Ive had ultrasounds, physical exams and d dimer tests. The dr says I have nothing to worry about and says I need to take magnesium pills for the cramps/pain. Should I still be worried about DVT after all this?? 15291

I don't think so... without treatment, a DVT would have gotten progressively worse. I'd say it's time to research other causes. I do have a friend that developed vericose veins in her 3rd month of pregnancy and still has leg pain from that. 15297

Another women that posted earlier, had a similar issue. I suggested to her and also to you that you should see a physiotherapist. You could very well have pinched your sciatic nerve, a very common problem for pregnant women. Actually a very common thing for anybody! A physiotherapist will be able to tell right away if it's a nerve or tissue issue. If it is either one of this things, you have absolutely nothing to worry about, you can live with it and if you get some physiotherapy treatment it will likely go away with the occasional flareup. All the best, and congratulations 15313
